Mathew 5: 3-12
Blessed are the poor in Spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted. Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth. Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled. Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy. Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God. Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God. Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are you when people insult you you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.
I'm so overwhelmed by the way God is moving in my summer already.

Colorado
We made it to Colorado four days ago. Wahoo! I could not have imagined a easier trip. I seriously have some great partners! While driving into Durango, we accomplished many things...
- Standing in four states at once!
- Seeing our first deer.
-Almost dying while I was behind the wheel...
-Listening to Bob Marley
-Donating to the Navajos
-Sleeping...alot.
-Continually singing Carly Rae Jepsens, "Call me Maybe"
-Taking a zillion pictures
-and brushing up on our Hope facts ;)

BarstowKED!
We finally made it past Barstow and stopped in Needles (which we decided is a horrible name for a city..) to stretch and fill up the tank. The biggest piece of advice we recieved for this trip was to eat at places that were new to us. So of course when the Wagon Wheel Restaurant came along in Needles we had to stop for some lunch. They had a great group of waitresses and such a friendly environment! I could not have picked a better first stop!

Training Week
This week, we stayed on campus and trained for our summer travels! We knew that there would be a ton of information to learn, but they forgot to mention how much we would be eating! My biggest concern for the summer thus far is avoiding obesity...Other than that, I'm stoked to be back on campus for a couple days!

One Year Down
A couple weeks ago I finished my freshman year at Hope International University and I could not have asked for a more incredible year. Not only was I blessed with amazing roomates, friends, mentore, and classes, but i received a summer job as an Admissions Representative. This means that I will be traveling for the summer with three other student and promoting Hope at various conferences and summer camps! I am so excited to start this journey provided by God. He continually surprises me with the direction my life goes. I am so thankful!
